The E-Z Access Manufactured Housing Crawlspace door is easy to install. Comes in either a track mount frame for vinyl skirting or smooth frame for rock and brick style skirting applications. Keyed locked to secure the door in place.
E-Z Access® Manufactured Housing Crawlspace Door
These E-Z Access® Crawlspace doors are specially made for manufactured homes and come ready to install.
Install 5/8 J-molding around 3 sides of the frame (top & 2 sides) using small self-tapping tek screws (not supplied).
Note: J-molding on the sides should not extend below the raised flat portion of the frame.
With the J-molding installed, the frame will now be the width of 2 skirting panels.
Insert bottom of frame into the ground track & install the skirting into the J-molding.
Replace the door into the frame.
Note: For using with existing skirting:
- Disengage the cap lock at the skirting and remove the two skirting panels by sliding upwards & out.
- Replace skirting panels with the frame, engaging existing skirting into J-molding & bottom of the frame into the ground track.
- Use skirting that was removed earlier to fill in the void between the top of the frame & cap lock. (Usually, the lengths required can be cut from one skirting panel leaving the other for future use.)Replace the door.
Although the plastic contains some inherent UV protection, the level of protection may be increased by painting. Either latex or oil-based paints (most brands of spray cans) is acceptable with oil-based paints being more durable.

Important Notices:
- The door should not be installed near any existing or potential heat source or open flame.
- As with any building product you should consult local building/fire codes.
- Although ABS plastic contains some UV protection, the level of protection can be increased by painting. Either latex or oil base paint (most brands of spray paint) is acceptable with oil base paints being more durable.
- In harsh environments (i.e. coastal) a monthly application of a lubricant to the lock assembly may prolong the life of the lock.
